GatewayBeyond is our church coming together as the body of Christ to affect change in our world. We believe with all our hearts that JESUS CHANGES LIVES and that this is true for everyone, not just those in our building!

To do this Gateway is committed to 3 key strategies:

'Missions' is a word that gets used a lot in churches, however we are on a mission, not only because we know God's life-changing love in our lives but because we are compelled to share what we have found.

God has called us as a church to work with Him in reaching His world in ways that touch people wherever they are.  In other words, we are working with God to find real ways to real change for people from varied cultural, religious and socio-economic backgrounds, wherever God leads us.

How do we go about finding paths that are real and relevant to people’s lives?  Always with cultural sensitivity and respect for the person and society in which God has placed them.  But also with the challenge that Jesus gives us to bring hope and healing in His name.

Gateway currently has 48 of its members involved in vocational mission - going beyond/giving hope. 25 of those missionaries are working in international, cross-cultural situations, and another 23 working in a local/national level within Australia.

We also have many volunteers doing mission: helping refugees at Carewerx in Logan City, doing RE and school programs, and connecting with seafarers from foreign ships in the port of Brisbane.
